PREAMBLE
Since improving productivity is vital in today's competitive world, a clear understanding of the term productivity is essential. Businesses have to operate in a highly competitive market place and whatever business you are in, it is imperative,especially in today's turmoil and economic situation, that a real focus is placed on methods to deliver superior quality through a process of enhanced productivity and at the same time reduce the costs by eliminating wasteful activities and failure.

There are so many “theoretical” ways or processes that could be implemented and indeed, have in many organizations.However, these do not always work and deliver the desired outcomes. “Cost cutting” is no longer the solution to sustainable profitability, the key to success is finding creativeways to prevent wasteful activities.

This convention has been designed to examine the real issues and concentrate on areas that make a dynamic impact so that productivity can be improved, quality is enhanced and there isa constant philosophy of cost reduction through efficiency and diligence.
ABOUT THE INSTITUTION OF ENGINEERS (INDIA)
The Institution of Engineers (India) is the largest multidisciplinary professional body of 2 Lakh engineers that encompasses 15 engineering discipline s and gives engineers a global platform from where to share professional interest.Established in 1920, with its headquarter at Kolkata. IEI has served the engineering fraternity for over nine decades. In1935, IEI was incorporated by Royal Charter and remains the only professionals body in India to be accorded this honour. Today, its quest for professional excellence has given it a place of pride in almost every prestigious and relevant organization across the globe. IEI functions among professional engineers, academicians and research workers.

It provides a vast array of technical, professional and supporting services to the Government, Industries, Academia and the Engineering fraternity, operating from 125 Centres located across the Country. In addition to that IEI has 6O verseas Chapters in the Middle-East. Besides the above thereare 8 entities like Safety and Quality Forum, Sustainable Development Forum, National Design & Research Forum,Water Management Forum, Rural Development Forum, Engineering Staff College of India, Disaster Awareness & Management Forum and National Skill Development Forum, who regularly conducts continuing education programmes and awareness generation activities on contemporary issues.

IEI is Member of various international professional bodies like World Federation of Engineering Organisations, World Energy Council, World Mining Congress, Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and Pacific, Federation of Engineers Institution of South and Central Asia and manyother professional Societies and Associations in the World and is contributing to the betterment of world society as a whole. Itis indeed an honour that IEI has received the permanent membership of International Professional Engineers Agreement, IPEA (formally the Engineers Mobility Forum) which enables mobility and gives recognisation to Indian Engineers.

Safety and Quality Forum - IEI
Safety & Quality Forum was established by The Institution of Engineers (India) at New Delhi in 2003, to focus on engineering aspects that contribute towards the improvement in Safety & Quality in Engineering Profession. Forum has been actively involved in disseminating knowledge in the field of Safety and Quality for the last more than a 19 years.
Telangana State Centre - IEI
The Telangana State Centre (TSC) of IEI is the only and first centre out of 125 centres in the Country awarded with ISO9001:2015 Certification in the month of April 2022 in the history of 102 years of IEI. TSC is the legacy of erstwhile Nizam's Hyderabad State Centre, formed on 28th August 2016 after bifurcation of AP State Centre. IT has 10000+ corporate members on its rolls and 19000+ non-corporate members in its fold. It is one of the most active centre of IEI which engaged successfully in translating the objectives, vision and mission of IEI into practice.

With in its formation of 2 years period, TSC bagged Best State Centre award three times for 2021-22, 2019-20 and 2018-19.Telangana State Centre has been playing a very important role in dissemination of information on engineering and contemporary technology bringing industry, academia, experts and professionals together on the same platform; by regularly organizing International Conference / national Conventions / All India Seminars / Conferences / Workshops and Round Table Conferences, Panel discussions throughout year almost one programme / event every 4th day.
