The Safety Innovation Awards are being conferred to industries since 2005 during Safety Convention. The forum has witnessed immense increase in the interest of the industries to participate in this Award.

The Selection Process for Safety Innovation Award has been designed in a very transparent manner and the applications received were assessed for the Ist Level by panel of eminent experts. Following deming award mechanism all those who cleared with 80% marks were invited to make their oral presentation.

Before the presentations were started, the participants were informed for all such who will clear presentations with 80% marks will be declared as the winners for the award.

The Jury of four members assessed these presentations on three different days. The Jury members included Shri Keshav Chandra, Former Member (Mechnical), Railway Board, Shri R C Sharma, Former Director, Delhi Fire Services, Shri Abhai Sinha, Former DG, CPWD.

Each participant were given 15 minutes to explain his Company's Work on Safety and related issues, in the presence of representatives of other Companies. Additional 5 minutes time was allotted for clarification/query from the Jury.

At the end of each day, the jury immediately after the presentations declared the result for the day.

This transparency gives confidence and sense of pride to the participants.
